"Partnering For Success"
A service of the mental health center of Boulder County, Inc.
Chinook Clubhouse
Chinook Clubhouse is a vocational rehabilitation program serving people with psychiatric disabilities. We are part of the Mental Health Center of Boulder County and receive partial funding from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. The Clubhouse provides a wide range of services that help people meet their employment goals. Some of these services include:
¨ Prevocational assessment and training
¨ Individual counseling and case management
¨ Job development and placement
¨ On-the-job training and support
¨ Weekly employment support group
¨ ADA awareness and education
¨ Employer incentives program
The Vocational Program helps members prepare for work in the community. There are three levels of vocational support a member can participate in to help make the placement a success. These three types of job placements are: Transitional Employment, Supported Employment, and Independent Employment.
Transitional Employment placements are entry level positions where a member will agree to work for 6 months. These positions are placed through the Clubhouse, and placement selection is made by the job site manager. Clubhouse staff provide job training and ongoing support and will provide absentee coverage as needed.
